Discover Olduvai Gorge: The Cradle of Mankind
Olduvai Gorge, located in northern Tanzania between the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, is one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. Olduvai Gorge is the place where the first human remains were found.
This steep ravine stretches about 48 kilometers (30 miles) and is renowned for the discovery of fossilized bones and stone tools belonging to some of the earliest human ancestors. The site was brought to global attention by archaeologists Louis and Mary Leakey, whose groundbreaking discoveries in the mid-20th century reshaped our understanding of human origins.
