Step Back in Time with Tanzania’s Last Hunter-Gatherers

The experience starts with a firsthand look at their daily life. You’ll join the hunters on a morning hunting expedition, learning how they track animals using traditional methods with bows, arrows, and remarkable skills passed down through generations.

After the hunt, the Hadzabe will demonstrate fire-making without matches, archery techniques, and their method of crafting tools and gathering wild honey and fruits.

You will also have the chance to meet the neighboring Datoga tribe, famous for their traditional blacksmithing — turning scrap metal into spears, arrowheads, and jewelry.

Following a morning filled with adventure, tradition, and learning, you’ll enjoy a simple local lunch (optional) before heading back to your hotel in the afternoon.
