Your journey begins with a scenic drive from your hotel to Machame Gate, where the trek kicks off through the lush rainforest. Over the next few days, you will ascend through various terrains, including heathlands, moorlands, alpine deserts, and rocky landscapes, all while being supported by a dedicated team. At each camp, you will rest in luxurious tents, enjoy top-tier meals, and have access to warm, relaxing environments that make your climb comfortable and enjoyable.

Day 1: Machame Gate (1,800m) – Machame Camp (3,000m)

Your VIP experience begins with a scenic drive from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi to Machame Gate (1,800m). After registration, you will begin your trek through the lush rainforest, known for its vibrant ecosystem and peaceful atmosphere. As you climb toward Machame Camp (3,000m), the path takes you through dense forest with occasional breaks to enjoy panoramic views. On this day, you’ll ascend gradually as you move through the rocky terrain toward Barranco Camp (3,950m). The trek involves a bit of an elevation gain followed by a descent, which aids in acclimatization. The landscape becomes more barren as you approach the semi-desert zone. The highlight of the day is reaching the Barranco Wall, a steep rock formation that you’ll tackle in the afternoon. Day 4: Barranco Camp (3,950m) – Karanga Camp (4,035m)

Today’s trek takes you from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp, one of the more relaxed and picturesque parts of the climb. The day begins with a challenging but rewarding ascent of the Barranco Wall. Once at the top, you will enjoy the thrill of reaching the summit before continuing toward Karanga Camp. The camp sits in a quiet alpine desert setting, offering stunning views of Kilimanjaro and surrounding areas. Your private porters will ensure that you have a smooth trek, and you’ll be able to rest and refresh in luxury.

Day 5: Karanga Camp (4,035m) – Barafu Camp (4,640m)

The trek from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp takes you through an arid alpine desert landscape. You will pass through rocky outcrops and enjoy clear views of the glaciers and the upper mountain slopes. Barafu Camp (4,640m) is your base camp for the summit attempt. It’s a vital acclimatization stop where you will rest and prepare for the summit climb. Day 6: Barafu Camp (4,640m) – Summit (Uhuru Peak, 5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)
Hiking Time: 6-8 hours ascent, 6-7 hours descent
Distance: 12 km ascent and 12 km descent
Habitat: Stone scree, glaciers, and alpine desert
The day begins around midnight, with your summit push to Uhuru Peak (5,895m). The climb to the summit is the ultimate challenge, requiring stamina and determination. You will climb through the night, with your guide and support team ensuring you’re properly paced. Once at the summit, you’ll be able to take in the stunning views of the ice-covered peaks and glaciers as the sun rises. After celebrating your success, you will begin your descent toward Mweka Camp (3,100m). The descent is long, but you’ll be greeted with hot drinks and a warm meal at camp.
Meals: Hot meals and snacks on your way up and down, with a celebratory feast at Mweka Camp.

Day 7: Mweka Camp (3,100m) – Mweka Gate (1,640m)
Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
Distance: 10 km
Habitat: Rainforest
On your final day, you’ll descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640m). The descent is gentle and scenic, offering a relaxing end to your climb. Upon reaching the gate, you’ll be awarded your summit certificate and can celebrate your incredible achievement with your team. A luxury vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel, where you can relax and enjoy a hot shower.
