Calving Season
Every year, with some seasonally detected variations in timing and scale the short rains begin around early November.
A little after this, in late November and December, the migration increases its pace towards southern of Serengeti where the short rains are regenerating new grass with rich of nutrient. These are south and east of Seronera, around Ndutu Area and include the north of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. They stay here through January, February and March; December is the peak month for zebra birth but most of wildebeest calves born in a short window around February
These phenomenon events attract a lot of predators such lion, leopard, cheetah, with a bunch of scavengers like Spotted hyena, fox, and birds of prey
Day 1: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and greeted by our representative, assisted with your baggage, then board your vehicle and transfer to your hotel in Arusha town. After a shower and rest, our safari briefer and safari driver guide will meet with you for briefing of the tour (depending on your arrival time, otherwise it will be done the next day morning before departure). You will overnight on bed and breakfast basis at the hotel in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart from the lodge and drive to the Great Serengeti National Park with lunch boxes. Going to Serengeti, we will pass via Ngorongoro Conservation Area, following along the Great Rift Valley and crater rim, onwards to Olduvai Gorge for a brief visit to the museum where Dr. Leaky unearthed the secret of man’s early evolution. You will enter the Southern plains of the Serengeti National Park, game viewing en route to overnight at the lodge/camp on full board basis.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Early morning game drive lasting 1–2 hours, then return for breakfast. After breakfast, collect your lunch boxes and begin a full-day game drive in the southern Serengeti at Ndutu area, where thousands of calves are born yearly, attracting many predators. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp on full board basis.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
“Serengeti is the greatest sanctuary in the world, fantastic in its natural beauty and unequalled”.
Today you have the option to carry a lunch box or return to the lodge/camp for a hot lunch. Explore the beauty of Serengeti, especially in the early morning when the wildlife is active. Start with an early morning game drive (2 hours), return for full breakfast, then proceed with an afternoon game drive. Picnic lunch will be provided to maximize your time in the park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp on full board basis.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongoro via Naabi Hill Gate. Descend to the floor of the crater for a game tour. Ngorongoro Crater is a unique caldera stretching 20km in diameter, home to its very own ecosystem. Enjoy your picnic lunch at Ngoitokitok picnic site. Later, ascend to the crater rim and proceed to Karatu for dinner and overnight at the lodge on full board basis.

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Arusha – JRO
