Zanzibar Island Discovery

Uncover the beauty and culture of Zanzibar on this 6-day island getaway that blends history, adventure, and seaside relaxation. Start your trip in vibrant Stone Town, exploring its UNESCO World Heritage streets, rich Swahili-Arab history, and cultural landmarks. Set out on guided tours to discover ancient architecture, spice markets, and the iconic Prison Island with its giant tortoises and snorkelling spots. Then head north to the serene beaches of Kendwa, where you can swim with dolphins, explore lush forests, and enjoy peaceful evenings by the sea. This itinerary offers a well-rounded experience of Zanzibar’s most captivating highlights—ideal for both first-time visitors and returning travelers.

The beauty and culture of Zanzibar

Day 1:

Arrival, meet and greet at the Airport, transfer to Tausi Palace Hotel (or similar hotel). Check in for three nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2:

Morning, after breakfast, at 09:00, guided Stone Town City Tour. Stone Town was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With our guide, you will walk in the footsteps of the Arab Sultans of Zanzibar. Discover the wonderful labyrinths of Zanzibar, visit historical sites, and learn about the famous Zanzibar doors, their roles, and significance. Return to the hotel at noon.

Day 3:

Day at leisure. Swim and relax at Forodhani Beach, enjoy the beach, or feel free to arrange optional activities.

Day 4:

Morning, after breakfast at 09:00, depart in a wooden engine boat for a Prison Island Tour. Discover giant tortoises, the ancient prison, and snorkel around the island. Return to the hotel at 14:00. After the tour, around 14:30, transfer from Tausi Palace Hotel to Sunset Kendwa Beach Bungalows (Extreme North of the Island) or a similar hotel. Check in for two nights in a standard room on a half board basis. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5:

Morning, at 07:00, depart from Sunset Kendwa Beach Bungalows for a Dolphin Trip at Kizimkazi Village. We take you on our wooden engine boat to swim with dolphins and snorkel on return. Lunch at a beach restaurant. At 14:00, return to the hotel via Jozani Forest. Discover mangroves, red colobus monkeys, and other species of animals. Arrive at the hotel at 17:00. Dinner and overnight at Sunset Kendwa Beach Bungalows.

Day 6:

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy some leisure time until your transfer to the Airport/Seaport for departure.

Depending on your budget and requirements, the itinerary can be altered to make use of a different standard of accommodation.
